 | - Any student grades K-5 may check books out of the library. Pre-School students select one new book every week that is checked out to their classroom.
- Kindergarten students check out one book each week.
- Students grades 1-5 check out two books each week.
- Books are checked out for one week and are due at the next library visit.
- Books may be renewed as many times as necessary in order for the student to finish reading them. Students must have the book in hand in order to renew it.
- Students are not charged an overdue book fee.
- Students who lose or damage a book beyond repair will be charged a replacement fee. The minimum charge for lost books is $10.00 per paperback and $20.00 per hardcover book. No refunds will be given for books found after a lost book fee has been paid.
- Parents of Highland students may also borrow books form the library. Borrowing policies for parents are the same as for students grades 1-5.
