I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts Degree in Sports Science from the University of Denver. In addition, I have a Professional Teaching License from the State of Colorado.

I have taught Physical Education and Health in a variety of public and private settings throughout the State of Colorado since 1985. I have taught all age levels from pre-school thru college age students. Additionally, I have coached several varsity teams and sponsored extra curricular activities thru the Colorado High School Activities Association. I have received several grants to enhance my curriculum and offer students opportunities both within and outside the school curriculum and setting. In 2005, I was awarded the Wal-Mart Teacher of the year award.
