Philosophy
Early childhood is a special time. Children need to feel good about themselves in a supportive, stimulating and safe environment. Children learn best through play and will extend their knowledge when they are developmentally ready. Children will be engaged in art/creative activities, communication skills, math and science concepts, physical and emotional development and social skills.
Our philosophy stresses the growth and development of the individual child. To help each child gain confidence and self-esteem while learning to function in a group, we plan for both individual choice making and group interaction. Our program includes social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth experiences. We believe that children learn through their play situations, as well as through a structured environment.

Purpose
Highland Preschool Academy is dedicated to providing high quality, developmentally appropriate education in a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for young children ages 3 years to 6 years of age.
