Second grade is an exciting place to be! We’ll focus on developing a wide range of reading skills and strategies through the use of quality literature and word study. As a second grader, your child will be provided with many writing experiences, and a wide range of hands-on math activities that will encourage critical thinking. Social studies and science units on everything from Colonial America, communities, and the weather, to dinosaurs, plant growth, and map skills will motivate young learners.
