 Identification

Giftedness is the manifestation of ability to learn well beyond the expected level of one’s age mates. It can be discovered through outstanding student performance, high test scores, or through observation of student behaviors and responses.

Students can be nominated for identification by the G/T Facilitator, classroom teachers, parents, self, and peers. Once a student is identified for Gifted and Talented services, a plan is developed to match programming services, options, and strategies to the academic needs of the student.
