Delay/Closure ProceduresThe Nova Center program, first implemented during the 2017 school year, provides a non-traditional instructional setting for LPS students from grades Kindergarten to 12th grade. Located on the Newton Middle School Campus, the Nova Center believes that the route to success for our students with emotional disabilities begins with individualized education that focuses on a high level of structure and consistency. These characteristics create a productive and positive learning environment that properly addresses internalizing and externalizing behavior issues and teaches self-regulation.
Our rotational system of instruction for students is centered on 1:1, small-group, and independent instruction—all with integrated technology throughout—incorporating a wide variety of comprehensive multisensory curriculums. Our students learn to manage their emotional triggers and to enjoy learning.
While the Nova Center provides services to students with disabilities exclusively from Littleton Public Schools, the Open Enrollment process does not apply. Placement decisions are determined through the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). If you have questions about your child's needs, services, and programming, please reach out to your child's special education case manager.
