Support and Services

Welcome to the Department of Information Technology Services (ITS)! Our team is dedicated to people who use technology in our schools. Whether it is data systems, networks, computers, Chromebooks or instructional technology, our team is devoted to excellence.

Littleton Public Schools has become nationally recognized for our pursuit of excellence in the field of educational technology. We currently support a fiber-optic network connecting all LPS sites with 10 Gigabit connectivity. Inside every school, a robust, filtered wifi service we call PODNet (Personally Owned Devices Network) allows any computer to get online without tedious network setup; just bring your technology and get online in LPS! And our internet connection is a fast 10 gbps, enabling LPS to support over 20,000 computers, smartphones, and chromebooks operating in our schools.

Visit our schools and you will find technology supporting our outstanding instructional programs. From intervention software for math and literacy to assistive technologies to help students with different needs to our use of Chromebooks and Google Apps for Education to support learning in every school's programming; technology is something you will find in wide and effective use in every school. And, beginning with the 15-16 middle schoolers, and expanded to our in our high schools in 16-17, students have access to district-provided devices for home use.  We invite you to read more about the LPS 1:1 Initiative.

We are proud to be the wizards behind the curtain; those invisible denizens inside the wires that assure data is secure, accessible, and moving at the speed of light; and those mentors and friends of educators who continue to hone their craft and leverage the tools of the 21st Century to help students learn.

Our work goes beyond technology and is focused on how people use the tools of our age to deliver instruction which will effectively prepare our students for the world they will enter upon graduation.

We are honored to work with colleagues from around the country and interact with schools around the world to bring a 21st Century education to the students of Littleton Public Schools. There has never been a better time to work with educational technologies. As far as we've come, we look forward to the continued efforts to enhance the outstanding education that is Littleton Public Schools.  To view roles, responsibilities, and ITS staff, please look at our org chart or our detailed list of roles and responsibilities.

  • Access to databases and electronic resources in school or at home,
  • Downloadable materials and ebooks,
  • Ability to check out books at Bemis, and
  • Use of library computers and other technology at Bemis.

This partnership was initiated in the 2020-2021 school year for Bemis and the 2022-2023 school year for Arapahoe Libraries.  View our Intergovernmental Agreement with our Data Privacy Agreement.
